MMCC LA is OPEN to the public every day of the year during daylight hours. Come see patients currently in our care from the fence line.
Visitors are not permitted “behind the scenes” and are kept a safe distance from the animals. This helps to provide a low stress environment during the patients’ rehabilitation, as well as to enable their natural wild behavior.
Docents and volunteers are generally available between 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m on Saturday and Sunday. We welcome questions about our facility and the species that are treated at MMCC LA.
Volunteers are the backbone of our operations. A regular spotlight on our more than 150 volunteers is coming soon!

Laird has his own surf wear line (Laird Apparel), beverage boosters (Laird Superfood), XPT Extreme Performance Training with his wife Gabby Reece, and Golf Board. Laird’s affinity for the ocean includes a love of all the creatures in it and a passion for ocean conservation.
