Animal Care & Husbandry
Animal Care volunteers are the manpower necessary to provide a clean and safe environment for our patients. Previous pinniped husbandry experience not required. Training is performed in-house, “on the job” under the supervision of the husbandry and veterinary staff. Animal Care volunteers commit to a weekly shift from either (approximately) 6am-12pm or 12pm-6pm for at least one year.
There are limited open positions, if your availability doesn’t match an open shift you will be added to the wait-list for future shift openings.
Education volunteers carry out the essential role of interacting with the public. Education or office background is a plus, but not required. Training is done in-house by the education staff. Education volunteers commit to a weekly four hour shift for at least one year. More Info on Education Volunteer position
